Last week in NYC, Verizon 300 Entertainment, Kevin Liles and London on da Track decided to honor the Freestyle Movement with a new partnership with the Freestyle 50 Challenge. The room was packed with Execs, celebrities, influencers, designers, tastemakers, Djs and aspiring artists. Artists had the opportunity to freestyle in a recording booth at the venue for a chance to compete in a live, freestyle cypher event in Atlanta for a chance to win the grand prize of a single deal with 300 Entertainment and a $10,000 prize. The song will be produced by London on da Track.
The press release describes the following: “Freestyle. The pulse of hip hop culture that fuels creativity, freedom and lyrical skill. In the beginning, freestyling refined the art of lyricism. Today, it takes on a new meaning, defining the way in which we pioneer our way through life. Freely, boldly and without boundaries.”
It was a good night had by all. Many artists took the opportunity to record in the booth for a chance to compete in Atlanta. This was a great opportunity for Hip Hop artists to get exposure. Good luck to all that participated!

About 300 Entertainment
300 Entertainment is a boutique music media company that prides itself on being “a record label for the 21st century…capable of launching self-starting artists to the next level without the burdensome bureaucracy—and cost structure—of a major record company.” In the short amount of time the label has found its artists being nominated for Grammys (Fetty Wap and Young Thug), partnering with brands like Coca Cola for advertising campaigns (Conrad Sewell), and had albums go Platinum (Fetty Wap). Founded by industry heavyweights Lyor Cohen and Kevin Liles, the company was also featured in a CNBC short documentary series about innovative leadership and forward thinking companies.
